Sergio Litewka, M.D., M.P.H.

Sergio Litewka is the International Programs Director and research assistant professor for the University of Miami Ethics Programs, a World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Health Policies and Ethics that is currently involved in research ethics educational programs in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Honduras, Mexico, and Peru.

Originally from Argentina, and as a former consultant for healthcare reform projects in Latin America, he is currently involved in research and educational activities on human subjects protection and the responsible conduct of research for biomedical investigations in the Latin American region.

Dr. Litewka is the project director for the Pan American Bioethics Initiative, a program funded by a NIH-FIC grant and the Latin American director of the CITI Program, a web based educational initiative for research ethics.
